Gregorian

The civil calendar used in most of the world. 365 days, with a leap day every four years (with century exceptions). October 8, 2026 is a Thursday.

Vikram Samvat

A lunisolar Hindu calendar used across India and Nepal, and for many wedding and festival dates. Months follow the moon, and dates are often written as a tithi (lunar day) in the bright (Sud / Shukla) or dark (Vad / Krishna) half of a month, such as "Kartik Sud 5". The year number runs about 57 years ahead of the Gregorian year.

Hijri

The Islamic lunar calendar, with 12 months of 29 or 30 days, so each year is about 11 days shorter than a Gregorian year. That is why Ramadan and Eid move earlier every year. October 8, 2026 is Rabiʻ II 27, 1448 AH (Umm al-Qura).
